Job Objective:

To design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications for handheld ground control stations, enabling intuitive and reliable operation of CT-UAV's unmanned aerial vehicles. The goal is to enhance user experience, ensure system stability and security, and contribute to the advancement of CT-UAV's technological capabilities in the UAV industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop Android applications for handheld ground control stations

• Design, develop, and test Android applications that directly interact with and control UAVs from handheld devices.

        Number of applications and features successfully developed and deployed.

• Ensure the performance, stability, and security of the application

        Error and incident rate of the application after deployment.

• Optimize the user interface (UI/UX) for an intuitive and efficient UAV control experience on mobile devices.

        User satisfaction level with the application's interface and experience.

Deployment and Integration

• Participate in the deployment and integration of the application with the UAV control system and related software.

        Success rate and effectiveness of the integration process.

• Coordinate with other engineers (embedded, AI, hardware) to ensure system compatibility and synchronization.

        Level of coordination and teamwork effectiveness.

Application Maintenance and Upgrade

• Monitor, detect, and fix application errors.

        Response and resolution time for errors.

• Implement application upgrades and improvements based on user feedback and project requirements.

        Number and quality of application updates and upgrades.

Research and Development of New Technologies

• Research new technologies and trends in Android application development and UAV applications.

        Level of knowledge updates and ability to propose the application of new technologies to projects.

Technical Documentation

• Draft technical documents related to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of the application.

        Completeness, accuracy, and clarity of the documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Solid knowledge of Android programming (Java/Kotlin).
• Experience in developing mobile applications, especially applications that interact with hardware or embedded systems.
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles for mobile applications.
• Experience working with popular Android libraries and frameworks.
• Experience working with version control systems (Git).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
• Good English reading comprehension for technical documents.

Authority

• Experience working in the UAV industry or related fi elds.
• Experience working with Android NDK.
• Experience with network communication (TCP/IP, UDP) and data transfer protocols.
• Understanding of MAVLink or other UAV control protocols.
• Experience with Android development and debugging tools (Android Studio).
• Has deployed Android applications in real-world scenarios.
• Experience with cross-platform development platforms (e.g., Flutter, React Native).

Coordination Relationship

Internal:

• Work closely with embedded system engineers on data communication protocols between the Android application and the UAV.
• Collaborate with AI engineers on integrating AI functionalities into the application.
• Coordinate with hardware engineers regarding hardware specifications and integration requirements.
• Work with project managers to align development with project timelines and objectives.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control/Quality Assurance team to ensure the application meets quality standards.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure an optimal user experience.

External:

• May interact with external partners or clients to gather requirements or provide technical support as needed.
